How to Clean Filters (Bag, Cart, Basket)

Filter Options
There are three main categories of filters for most robotic pool cleaners: there are filter baskets which can be found in models like the Escape and Cayman; filter bags or leaf bags, such as one of the options for the Premier; and filter cartridges, like you’ll find in the Premier, Sigma, and Odyssey.
Cleaning Instructions
First, there are the baskets, such as this one from the Escape. To clean these simply remove the basket from the robot, snap open the front piece, dump out the debris and rinse it out with a hose until you can no longer see any debris. These steps also apply to robots such as the Elite Pro which have cartridges, but also snap open and can be emptied and cleaned like this.
Next, there are the leaf bags. After being removed from the robot, unhook the bag from its wire frame, turn it inside out to dump debris, and then spray it thoroughly to remove what is left.
Finally, there are cartridges like these from the Dolphin Sigma or Dolphin Odyssey. To clean these simply remove them from the robot, twist these two snaps, lay each piece on a clean piece of ground or grass and spray them off with a hose.
With each of these cleaning methods, it is best to let them dry off afterwards so you can be sure you got everything off. Once they’re dry you simply need to reassemble and put the filters back in the robot!
